The many deadly effects of obesity

Near death, I was in the middle of severe heart failure.

Maybe you are already suffering with some of these problems and you still can’t find the strength to do anything about it. Maybe somewhere down deep you are waiting for a crisis to finally wake you up and shake you in to taking action. That is like a smoker waiting for a diagnosis of lung cancer to finally quit smoking. By then it is already too late.

For you it may be a diagnosis of diabetes, or a heart attack, or maybe even breast cancer before you realize you MUST take action and change your ways. Maybe you already are diabetic and are waiting for something like blindness or amputations to make it real for you? Maybe you feel there is no hope left and you are just waiting for the depression and eventual death to prove you right?

The list is a long one of serious diseases that may someday darken your life. If you wait, who’s to say when that day will come. Each and every day of your life is valuable and tomorrow is not promised to anyone. If you are not pursuing good health every day you are in effect erasing days off of the end of your own timeline. What can you possibly be waiting for? There will never be a magic pill to lose weight. Surgery has already proven to be a dismal failure for most and deadly for others. Nothing will ever happen TO you to make this easy. Change will happen BECAUSE of you.

In other words, don’t wait for the change to come to you, force yourself to come to the change.

If you are feeling powerless to help yourself then it is time for you to stop feeling like a victim. You are a full participant in the condition you are in and until you realize that responsibility, you will not be able to take back your power and save yourself. Don’t live your life as if you are second best. Stop believing that obesity is your destiny and reclaim the life you were meant to have! You are free to choose what direction you will go.

The moment you finish reading this can be the beginning of your new life. The moment that you step out of old habits and beliefs and in to a vibrant, active, exciting life with purpose and satisfaction. Stop accepting obesity and disease as a normal part of life. Disease is abnormal. Healthy is normal. We are conditioned by the medical industry to believe that sickness is to be expected and accepted. It’s a lie. It’s a lie that lines the pockets of doctors, hospitals, and especially the pharmaceutical companies.

Good health comes from pursuing a natural way of life. Whole natural foods, exercise, sunlight, restful sleep, pure water, and other very basic, very simple lifestyle choices. If we all followed these principals there would be no obesity “epidemic”. Statistics bombard us with information that Americans are fatter then ever. We are told that our children are developing diseases that used to only be seen in the elderly. We accept this information as if it is a natural progression of the human race! The truth of it all is that we are overfed, under exercised, and over indulgent. In spite of what we are being told, obesity is NOT a disease. It is a precursor to disease and is totally under our control. It is our choices that determine the situation we are in and it is our choices that will set us free.

It is never too late to restore your health. I don’t care if you are a teenager who feels their life is over, or a senior citizen that thinks their best days are behind them. Recovery is possible for every human being. It is what our bodies are designed to do and if we get out of the way and allow it, it will happen. Your first step is to get this burden of obesity off of your body and start feeding it what it needs to repair, rebuild, and recover. The faster you can take it off, the better, as long as it is done safely and healthfully. There is no benefit in taking a year to lose 50 pounds when you can do it in 2 months. That is 10 fewer months that your body has to struggle. Cambridge is the perfect answer. Feed your body complete balanced nutrition, start some form of exercise, and let nature begin to bring you back to health.

We all know that obesity is related to a lot of health problems, but you may not realize just how many. The American Obesity Association (AOA) has a list of the possible and the probable effects obesity can have on your life. I would encourage you to go read through this list and think about the price you are paying for the choices you are making concerning your diet and other lifestyle habits. If you are having a hard time finding motivation to stick to your diet, this may do it for you. If you are ready to get your life on track, this WILL do it for you.

People of any age can benefit from The Cambridge Diet

No matter what your age, or the age of your loved ones, Cambridge can benefit everyone in a variety of ways. Beginning in pregnancy, a woman can insure that she is adding a strong nutritional boost to her developing baby. In fact, some birth defects can be prevented with proper nutrition before conception!

Once the child is off the breast or formula, they can begin to enjoy the many benefits of Cambridge as young as 2 years old. I recomend that you only supplment the child’s diet with the Original 330 formula. Soy has been known to cause some problems in childhood such as interferring with the development of the intestinal lining as well as being too high in natural hormones.

Kids love the flavors so even if you have a picky eater, (as I do!) they will consider Cambridge a treat! For the new Mother, supplementing your diet with Cambridge can improve the quality of your milk. If you are not breast feeding then you can begin to use Cambridge for losing that baby weight.

Adding Cambridge to a healthy eating plan will greatly speed up your recovery as you won’t want to sole source if you are less then 2 months after delivery. It takes a lot of energy for the woman’s body to heal after child birth and it is important to not stress it. Once you are ready, you can amaze your friends (and make them jealous!) with how fast you acheive your before pregnancy shape!

As you move on through the different stages of life, there is always a good reason to have Cambridge on hand. Most of us experience weight fluctuations that can be frustrating and harmful to our health. Keeping your weight within a healthy range will add years to your life and quality to your years. You can avoid the many common diseases of the day that are weight related.

And let’s face it, the nutritional quality of the foods we now eat are poor at best. Overly processed and dead foods that provide nothing but calories…and too many of them causing us to need to eat more than normal in an attempt to compensate for the deficiency.

Using Cambridge as a daily supplment is that insurance policy we all need to be sure we are doing our best to protect our health. It will help to prevent food cravings that are a dieter’s downfall! And don’t forget your children! Cambridge makes a wonderful after school snack or even a quick breakfast! Mixed with a little milk it can give your child an edge on the day.

If you find yourself faced with a good amount of weight to lose, as most of us do at one time or another, Cambridge will save the day! No matter if you have 5 or 500 pounds to lose, you can do it on Cambridge! I have worked with clients that have lost as much as 300 pounds, and as little as 5. No matter what your starting point is, it works for everyone.

My oldest client was 84. She was my Aunt. Her health had deteriorated to the point that she was confused and not able to care for herself. She had gained a lot of weight from medically prescribed steroids and it greatly added to her inability to walk. With some physical therapy and Cambridge, she once again emerged as her old self!

Wether you are young and planning a family, in your childbearing years, raising children, persuing your carreer, or enjoying your retirement, you can benefit from Cambridge. Be it weight loss, nutritional supplement, or part of a health recovery plan, you won’t find a better product to have in your life then The Cambridge Diet. Bottom Line.

Are you struggling with sticking to your diet?

Obesity is one of the number one factors in most chronic, disabling, or even fatal diseases today. Right now, if you are obese and attempting to lose weight with Cambridge, every time you choose to put food in your mouth you are choosing disease. Every time you put Cambridge in your mouth you are choosing health and life. Every day you decide that food is more important then your life, your health, your loved ones peace of mind, your future…it is like you are taking an eraser and rubbing out another day, month, year, or maybe even decade of the end of your life. My mother cheated me out of having her in my life. She choose food and died at 62.

I know some of you are frustrated with your lack of commitment where your diet is concerned. How about if you think of this as a medical treatment? Most of us will follow our doctors advice if prescribed a treatment or a medication. Instead of looking at this whole thing as a diet, how about if you see this as prescribed therapy to prevent disease? That IS what it is after all.

Let’s all do a little assignment. I want each of you to make a timeline of your life. Make it in increments of 1 year. Beginning from today, make it go to about 84 years old which is the average live span for men and women. If you already ARE 84 (good for you!) then give yourself another 10 years. Every day that you choose to not stay on your diet and pursue good health, cross off one year from the end of your timeline. Ahhh…now THAT puts it in to perspective, doesn’t it?

That is our reality folks. If we don’t do everything in our power to override our years of self abuse with food and lack of exercise we are shortening our lives and there won’t always be another day or week or year to procrastinate doing anything about it!

Make your timelines. Tape them to your fridge. Mark of a year for every day you decide to abandon your health and maybe then we can all get real about our days on this earth. None of us is promised tomorrow. If you had a choice of making a million dollars this month or next year, which would you pick? My guess is you would want it now. Your life is worth more then a million dollars, isn’t it? Your sense of urgency for getting that million in your hands as soon as possible should pale in comparison to your sense of urgency to regain your health and happiness.

The health benefits of The Cambridge Diet on Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and Insulin Resistance

Many women today are being diagnosed with PCOS, or Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. It will often be attributed to Insulin Resistance and problems with obesity are commonly seen. Several symptoms are apparent with this condition such as infertility, irregular periods, ovarian cysts, excessive body and facial hair growth, male pattern baldness, acne, and other embarrassing and uncomfortable issues due to the high levels of the male hormone testosterone in the blood. In some cases it can eventually lead a woman to resort to a complete hysterectomy to “solve” the problem.

PCOS or Insulin Resistance is not unlike many chronic health conditions we are now seeing in this country. It is often due to lifestyle issues that can be corrected or prevented without medical intervention. A proper diet, weight loss, exercise, correct sleep habits, daily exposure to sunlight, and other health promoting behaviors can return the body to health and balance. Weight loss alone can have a dramatic effect. It is not uncommon for previously infertile women to become pregnant once the weight is lost.

An article that was published in a medical journal had this to say about very low calorie diets and their effects on hormonal abnormalities related to obesity:

[Hormonal abnormalities were improved by weight loss using very low calorie diet in a patient with polycystic ovary syndrome]

Okajima T, Koyanagi T, Goto M, Kato K.

Department of Internal Medicine, Kokura National Hospital, Kitakyushu-shi.

A 27-year old woman was admitted to our hospital because of oligomenorrhea, (irregular menstrual periods) hirsutism, (excessive growth of thick dark hair in areas inappropriate for women) and obesity. Her menstrual period has been irregular since she was 14 years old. Her weight increased rapidly after the age of 15 and she became obese. Hirsutism was noticed at the age of 16. The diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome was made on her illness through the endocrinological examinations: (1) The response of LH to LH-RH administration was much higher than that of FSH. (2) The concentration of plasma testosterone was increased. (3) Plasma level of E2 was decreased while that of E1 was increased. (4) CT scan showed bilateral ovarian cystic masses. In addition, hyperinsulinemia was observed during the 75g glucose tolerance test and the presence of insulin resistance was suggested. As she was overweight (BMI; 33.6 kg/m2), weight loss was expected to improve her hormonal abnormalities. She went on a very low calorie diet of 420 calories per day. When she lost around 9kg (19.8 lbs) of weight, her menstruation period started that has not been observed for the previous 5 months. Plasma levels of LH, FSH and testosterone were lowered following the weight loss. The responses of LH to LH-RH and IRI to glucose were decreased as well. She left the hospital after the second menstruation occurred at the proper period. From these results, the importance of weight loss was suggested in overweight patients with polycystic ovary syndrome. The benefit of very low calorie diet was also noticed since it brought a rapid weight loss as well as rapid improvements of hormonal abnormalities.

We can see from this article that a diet like The Cambridge Diet can have a profound effect on those suffering with hormonal imbalances and the health problems that accompany it. I urge you to consult with your doctor before starting a very low calorie diet like The Cambridge Diet if you are currently being treated for any of these disorders. It is important that you are monitored during your weight loss to determine if any medications you are on need to be reduced or discontinued as your condition improves.
